VOGONS

I got a Monster 2 card and a Socket 7 board which has the CPU placed in a way that's impossible to use that monster card.
So before I buy yet again a new board, I was wondering if it would be possible to use a PCI extention cable instead.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I only have a 90 degree "riser" card for now, and that didnt seem to work (it had capacitors on it). Not sure if the riser card is broken, the Voodoo Card is broken (will test that on a different board when I find the time) or if the combination just wont work.
In any case what I would need is a "flexible" cable to basically have the PCI card occupy pretty much an ISA slot instead.
Maybe something like this?

Anyone got any experience /advice on this?

Should just work even with riser card.

Cool. You have any info about maximal length? Does it need to have any specific specs? I saw some cards with capacitors, but if its just serving as extention I don't really see the need for it.
Or would you say that if it's sold like that it's also going to work? Well, excluding maybe weird stuff from wish.com

These are crappy ones. Better risers use horizontal PCB with pins and two detachable ribbon cables.

Judging by UDMA133 cables, which operate more or less on the same speed - 20-30cm is safe.
