Recently got my hands on this system, one of the lovely Aptiva towers with the sliding front bezel door. Repaired the door spring mechanism, changed the battery, and soldered up a break in one of the PSU cables. Was setting up to put OS/2 on it but I cannot for the life of me get this thing to display through a PCI video card. I've tried Trident PCI cards from 1994 all the way up through early 2000s cards and it will either default to the onboard video controller or display nothing through either. I have attempted to look up the manual for the system or check Theretroweb or Stason but all I've been able to turn up are earlier revisions of the board with 486s or socket 5 Pentiums. The earlier revisions have JP15 to disable onboard video but so far I've been unable to locate such a jumper on mine and random experimentation with jumpers hasn't yielded any results. If anyone has an Aptiva of similar vintage I would love some advice to get a PCI video card working.
