I picked up a old 14" CRT today, model is Digital PCXBV-SA

I can't seem to find info about it, the connector on the back of the monitor appears CGA/EGA - two rows of pins.

Most hits describe this as a VGA monitor but the last digits are different, when I look at manuals for other PCXVB-XX monitors they all have integrated cables.

Does anyone on here know more about this, I can't find anything on google, checked archive.org so I'm hoping someone's brain will tell me if I need a 9 pin to 14 pin adapter (VGA) or what or if I might have a really late manufactured EGA/CGA screen.

Manufacture date 1995.

P3 Slot 1 - 512MB PC100 - 128GB SSD - RADEON 9200 SE , SB Awe64 ISA - GOTEK MOD

Hi
did you get any information about this monitor?
I just found one today. It powers up, but it doesn't show any light on the screen. I don't know if it's because it doesn't have an input signal or defective. I found it without the detachable cable.
I found a reference that says it's CGA/EGA. It may be a Samsung CSQ4327 rebranded to DIGITAL. mine is from october 1995.
And yes, as you say, it would be a very, very late EGA model. Unless there is some king of conversion from VGA15 to that 9 pin port.
I'll give it a good cleaning and start checking what problem it might have, but any additional information is welcome.

FYI

I may be a SAMSUNG CSQ4327 rebranded to Digital
it is svga
I found some schematics and they seem to be the right ones
the 9 pin input is three pins for RGB (go to a LM1203N) and two that seem to be sync (those 2 and the Green go to a SL506A, the data i found says it have sync-on-green), the rest 4 go to GND.
I think just making a suitable cable / converter 9-to-15 will do the trick.

So just to revive a necro post, I'm trying to get it working, picked up a genergic DB9 to DB15 VGA adapter cable, I get a display out of Windows but only one colour. Suggest to me it's infact VGA but the pinout of my cable doesn't match the screen. Anyone ever find schematics of the pinout or have a suggestion on how i figure out without a oscilascope the signaling to make it work?

I have not tested / worked on mine again
check this out. I think this is the schematic. look for the inputs and where they go in those ICs (you ll need those ICs datasheets)
this image is a composition from 9 separated ones

1: ?
2: green and sync (sync-on-green)
3: Red and blue (?!?!?!)
4: ?
5: ?
6-9 : GND

the datasheet for the SEC (Samsung Semiconductor) SL505 IC is needed to resolve the unknowns. mine have a SL505A (or SL506A? maybe I need to open it again)
