Yes with dgvoodoo2, software version has issues, and voodoo sometimes hangs after finishing a mission.
I reported this issue to dege.
plus videos still have lines, and i remember it was possible to deactivate that interlace scanline look with a command line.

I will check the cd game tomorrow...

Since I don't own the GOG release and kind find a suitable place to fetch it "for testing", at least with the CD release, I don't see the game crashing. The CD game wouldn't start normally, so I just attached DxWnd and that was it. There is a chance that there is a ddraw wrapper in the folder, you might try deleting it and trying.

Both steam and GoG releases are the same, they come "patched" with the 3dfx exe running as Uprising.exe
i think this is mostly a memory issue with the sofware renderer exe

I didn't install the 3Dfx mode so the "uprising.exe" I have is software based. Without the gog or steam game, I can't do much, maybe the gog execuable you have can help.
