I heard that there are drivers for sound cards that could be used instead of VDMSound to get the sounds. Where can I find them?

I have a SB Audigy Audio [1040]. I think it's from Creative. I tried to look at their home page but couldn't find anything.

No. You are mistaken. At least, in 2K or XP you are. There is no direct hardware access, which the DOS-LEVEL (there is no DOS in NT) programs require. For the SB Audigy, there is no legacy SB emulation. Closing thread: NOPE. (Huzzah! A new word!)
