I need the BIOS from a vintage MSI Pentium 4 motherboard reprogrammed (MS-6730, 655 MAX, Ver 1). I experienced a floppy read error during a BIOS update and the board will no longer post. The CPU fan spins, and I sometimes see the keyboard lights flash briefly. I tried holding Control-Home and restarting the computer with a replacement BIOS disk in the floppy drive but no joy. The system does not seek the floppy at all. There display shows no activity at all.
It's an Award BIOS with 7 x 9 pins. I believe it's a PLCC32 chip that has to be desoldered, reprogrammed with an adapter, and resoldered. I can provide a copy of the BIOS on a CD.
I contacted arcadecomponents.com in Texas and insanitytechrepair.weebly.com in Missouri to inquire and I continue to wait for a reply.
Does anyone in the forum know of other services that can reprogram this board if I mailed it to them?
