I got a good del for an IBM PC Server 320 case, which is a magnificent, 18kg piece of hardware that also looks gorgeous. I was planning to use it for an early workstation/server build maybe for an old RedHat linux or something but the seller informed me it is not AT or ATX..

Has anyone ever used these for a build? Is it possible to mount an AT or ATX motherboard in it?

I have overlayed a AT Mainboard onto a Server 320 Mainboard in Gimp.
It looks like the AT keyboard connector will be exactly in between the original mouse and keyboard connector... hole needs to be drilled.
The standoffs are in the wrong places ... except of 3 around the slots ... wich is a good starting point.

ATX boards with a regular Backpanel will be slightly too wide and below the plastics of the case back.

But its just a guess based on picture i found on the internet. And im guessing you have the tower model of the case...

Yeah I have the tower model and what you deducted is more or less what I eyeballed, which is a shame because it is a great looking case I wouldn't want to cut 😕
