Hi! i came here to ask for advice

Mi P3 motherboard have award bios, what i want is to remove the PCI and pnp hardware list that show on boot

The attachment IMG_20231015_135506.jpg is no longer available

Using awardflash tool i save original bios, and edit in MODBIN, I see a option that looks what i want...

The attachment IMG_20231015_224636_1.jpg is no longer available

But after saving new bios and flash, motherboard died, long beep. Lucky me is possible to recover using a floppy

I tried windows tool, but same problem

https://awdbedit.sourceforge.net/

I dont know much about if possible to do remove this info, any idea guys?

One problem i see, is if i compare in a hex editor boot BIOS (original and edited) the difference is TOO MUCH, is not just some bites...

I attach my bios for any ideas, THANKS

The attachment original.zip is no longer available

Good work ! There are times I wish the PCI/PnP stuff did not show but would prefer a true bios setting so I can turn it on or off as needed.....

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

What version of Modbin did you try initially?

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

Hi, i always used 4.50.60 and 4.50.75, and because worked good, never looked for a new version. I never did a bios mod on a new motherboard, always edit 486-Pentium 1 bios, never P3+ ones

My P3 motherboard is a DFI CA61 chipset VIA VT82C693A, and this modbin versions edit the bios OK, but was defective

Finally i found 4.50.82A version work fine, and Award Flash v8.10B to flash.

Award Flash v8.30+ versions corrupt bios when flash, even say flash was OK

Thanks for this info. The same way I killed Gigabyte PIII Tualatin mobo. Now I have to desolder BIOS chip, install PLCC32 socket to motherboard and reflash with programmer.
I found some different versions BIOS editors and flashers here: http://xdel.ru/downloads/bios-mods.com-tools
