I like the Crystal Clear audio from the Terratec sound cards.
I like the Crystal Clear audio from the Terratec sound cards.
...and?
Life? Don't talk to me about life.
I have another PCI slot. What Terratec sound card should I add ?…..
I really love those 5.25" audio front panels. Something about them just screams "there's a super cool sound card inside this case". Sadly, they are getting more and more difficult to source nowadays.
BTW, make sure to put the covers back on the TOSLINK ports when they are not in use. You don't want dust to get in there and block the light.
Very cool looking build! Do you have anything hooked up to those external audio ports?
I Really like the Strong Balanced Sound coming out of these Terratec devices.
It’s Clear, Bright, and Powerful. Strong Forward sounding Audio. Base, treble, and mid-range all sound really good.
Nice separation in musical instruments.
Reminds me of a Vintage Pioneer or Alpine.
Sorry Creative 🙁
I am using Win-10 on this HP-8000 computer because Win-XP would NOT install on this computer.
But the HP z400 computer works with Win-XP.
Guys,
These Terratec devices work Perfect in Win-10
Use WinXP Drivers.
Just disable the requirement for digital signature in recovery startup menu and press F7.
And install with WinXP service pack 2 compatibility.
Something Funny 😀
The DMX6-Fire sounds really Good with Clear balanced audio.
But EWS-88MT is Base Heavy ( Sounds Funky ).
These two devices have completely different sounds.

I think the HP z400 computer would be a Really good computer for these two Terratec PCI devices.
Customize with:
6 Core Xeon
16gb RAM
256gb Sata SSD and 2tb Sata Hard drive
Nvidia GT 730
Win-10
And you will have to use these type of USB-to-PS/2 adapters because this computer requires a PS/2 keyboard to enter the bios setup.
This computer works with WinXP, Win-7, Win-10, and Win-11
I'll take that as no and no.
Life? Don't talk to me about life.
