I have a question....
I am thinking about resurrecting a tyan 1854 board (p3, apollo pro chipset.)
I already have one up and running, and with the radeon9600.
I have two 9600se cards, but seems like I remember those cards refused to work on the tyan board, like they are AGP8x only.
It seems like I remember the 9600SE being AGP8X only but I went browsing around on the internet can can't seem to find a solid answer.
Those 9600se cards seem to work fine on kt-400 (athlon) boards but that is AGP8X

Yes, Radeon 9600 SE is AGP 8X.

Some had universal AGP. It's technically compatible with all old AGP 3.3v like 440BX, but ATi decided to avoid potential problems with old systems.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
