So, I'm considering buying 2 "new" 3.5 floppy drives. Primary use, 1.44MB, secondary, 720K.
The first is a "real" Alps DF344H drive that I assume are NOS (seen below), has anyone here used them? If so, what's your opinion on them? Never used Alps before. I want one in my DOS build alongside my GoTek FDC emulator.
The second would be a USB FDC for use on my modern Win10 PC, primarily for archival reading.
A: Cheap China made drive from Amazon?
B: Avoid Amazon USB FDC, get better one off eBay?
Are the China drives really that bad?
If I was to get one off eBay, do you have a recommendation?
Thanks in advance!
