I recently bought an ASUS I-A16C sound card which works perfectly fine except for one thing - Wavetable addon cards do not work with it. After switching the music to General Midi port 330, there is complete silence. Wavetable card is good and tested. Has anyone had this card and had the same problem?

Did you check the mixer? See if it isn’t muted? Might have to check it in the options to see it in the mixer too.

The WaveBlaster header seems to have some dirt between a few pins. Hope it's not conductive because most of the pair pins are ground if I remember well.
You can also check the tantalum caps near the header and the -12V and +12V pins.

Knowing things is great. Understanding things is better. Creating things is even better.

The problem has already solved itself. I took out another Wawetable board from another computer and it worked with this card without any problems, then I put back the one that didn't work and it works now. ¯\(ツ)/¯
