For perspective, Digi-Key has new, genuine DS12C887+ (battery inside) for $16.73 plus shipping. They're in Minn. and you're in Wis...

Should be!
That version does not support a CMOS clear feature so it will always work. The "A" version has it, but sometimes boards that don't contemplate a CMOS clear jumper short that pin all the time.
