Hi. I got a "good" deal (by that I mean cheaper than current ebay prices) on a GUS Classic last week and the card should arrive tomorrow.
But driver installation seems a little confusing.
I get that this card is mostly used for DOS games and applications. But my goal here is to get it running alongside my ESS 1868f based soundcard. Preferably all on Win98SE.
Since I mainly launch my DOS games from within Windows, will they recognize the GUS when used with the Windows driver? Or do I need to install the DOS drivers on top of that?
Also I read that the Windows driver are finnicky and there has to be no other soundcard installed beforehand, which is not the case here.
So what's the best process here? I'm asking before I have to reinstall Windows three times.
