It won't be until shortly before singularity that a computer can scan an old GPU and print out -- at least schematics -- new ones?

It may not but you may also take some legal risks with that process.

Also, Yamaha's list of sofhware supporters is
shorter than Diamond's or Creative Labs'. To
be sure. Papyrus will support the card with

That is just the initialization program for the card used in your autoexec.bat. You can see it briefly in this video at the 10 second mark: https://youtu.be/c7tTYwNDWlU?t=10s

This was very interesting, so I did some research. The text on Mobygames can't be correct as the disc pictured does not come from a hardware manufacturer. According to MobyGames, Aztech New Media Corp was mainly a shareware publisher. According to a Aztech New Media Corp catalog list, Fighter Wing was part of their "Publishers' Pick 10-CD Blue Pack" bundle. If you do a search for the disc ID (AZ-2241) it shows up on Redump. Here it is confirmed it is part of the Publishers' Pick 10-CD Blue Pack.
Also there are no actual products mentioned in the press release of the game supporting the YGV611 chip, nor any information out there that any other consumer card was released with this 3D chip beside the Paradise Tasmania 3D. If I can get hold of the CD version of Fighter Wing, I can inspect the files, but for now this is debunked.
Well i find links about VLB and post: there is two links one from ebay another is big list on yellow background with all hardware that Creative ever released.
About other things:
https://www.old-games.ru/wiki/Miles_Sound_System (need to translate to english)
in short words, Miles Sound System is set of drivers for dos games so some games on NV1 might sound different:
Dungeon Keeper
Eradicator
Heroes of Might and Magic II
Jagged Alliance
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
The Settlers II
WarCraft
WarCraft II
Because these games have NV1 sound drivers:
PCM Drivers :
NVDIG.DIG - NVidia NV1
MIDI Drivers :
NVMPU.MDI - NVidia NV1
http://www.win3x.org/win3board/viewtopic.php?t=481#p175581
Given the contents of the NV1 archive, the DirectX driver seems to be included in it. Since writing the first message, have you had the time to test it?
http://www.win3x.org/win3board/viewtopic.php?t=481#p2475 Drivers here
3DSHAPES included were there ever any released tech demos of the NV1 chipset?
Can someone make video of 3dshapes?
Daytona USA added to NV1 list
This game was previously debunked, but the Japanese retail version and the 3D Multimedia bundled version supports NV1

Mainly this post: Re: 3D accelerated games list (non 3dfx/D3D/OGL)
I have also tested both the DEMO and the retail version. In the demo there are visual differences between S3 and Direct3D mode and the game crashes without the proper DLLs. In retail, S3 selection is not possible, only Direct3D.
Also it's common for boxes to be made long before the game goes gold.

Maybe it's only present in retail version 1.0 and was removed later? Anyone has the Canadian release from which that box is from?

True, but then such false statements are normally covered by a sticker or something. It is listed as a key feature after all.
You could be reading a bit too much into that box. It doesn't mention native support for S3D, but rather S3 cards among others. All it could mean is that they've tested cards from these vendors and can vouch that they work with it, using the D3D renderer.

Web of algorithmically created content (no matter how nonsensical is the result) and a generic NV1 article not proving any VLB product existed.
I really think you should double check usefulness before you post.

EDIT> The most photos is down... can you fix it?
Hi! Huge deed there you've doing, thanks for it 😉
An offtopic question, but it's related and for nostalgy's sake - and this forum is all about nostalgy and appreciation of old PC technology and software 😎
Thread is 'not D3D/..' - but is anywhere trustworthy list of old D3D games supporting S3 Virge 325 , preferable 2mb version (playable even if with some errors) ? I suspect trying out in PCEm/derivatives is far from 100% accurate methodology.
And/or for other chipsets like Ati Rages I/II, Virge DX?
