Indeed; it will be paired with Noctua NH-U9DX i4, Titan X (maxwell) and 4x4GB of DDR3-2133 (perhaps I will boost bus speeds and/or increase timings).

If Xeon, should be then pair it with ECC or registered ECC modules. They are not that expensive.

Here are two of my latest purchases for my Olivetti collection....

Olivetti M19

Olivetti M300 Italia

The M19 is missing the dos disk (2.10 or 3.10 I don't recall well which should suit better...) but since I'm stuck since two months building a 486 with the only 5,25'' fdd I have around I've not been able to test it in deep (grrrrrr)....I still have to disassemble it and make a deep clean.

The M300 has been cleaned and it works like a charm

Nice. I love Olivetti. My Dad got an M24 in the late 80's via work. 8086, 2x 5" 1/4 disk drives, CGA color screen, no hard drive. For a 15 year old it sucked compared to the C64's (and the one Amiga) my friends had but I learned to love it. In less than a decade all those friends were on PC's... 😀

No pics, but I just received a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5465 AGP card; Cirrus Logic's last video chipset, with Rambus RDRAM memory. I have a nice dual P3 system with i820 chipset and 1GB of RDRAM. It's just itching for an AGP card with RDRAM too.

I used to have one of those as well... 😀 After the M24 died, no idea why it did so but one day it just stopped working, my dad took it to a service centre and they said it couldn't be fixed and he simply left it there... We then got the PCS-286, I can't remember if it was 12 or 16 mhz but it definitely had VGA onboard and it was the machine I got my first Sound Blaster for, I think it was a 1.5, must have been 1990 or maybe early 1991.

Yep, a M24 and a M20 are on my list....

I'm reading some italian games magazine of the '94 and I see the struggle of that years between PC community and Commodore community (but there were even spectrum and others) I did not feel on my skin at that time since I was a kid and just used what I had, a 386 of my father that he used for his job activity so yeah I was in the PC team form the beginning.

Riva TNT for a fiver. Surprisingly VGA output is sharp even at 1600x1200 and it performs pretty well.

Bought a new lot today.

I have no description at all. So just based on the picture i'm betting on :
- Radeon 9700 pro (Gigabyte Maya II ? Without ram heat spreaders ?)
-Probably an X800/850 (XT ? PE VIVO ???) Or could be something else
- A PCI FX5200/5500 ?

- Promise Ultra 133 PCI
- A SATA IDE combo thing
- ASRock P4VT8+ with an unknown socket 478 CPU
- Random less interesting cards...

What model? Remember, you have no issues using registered ECC memory modules or ECC memory modules.

I'm thinking about getting Z440 barebones. I already have video cards and 2011 socket Xeon 16 core processor, buy couple of memory modules to start with.

You can never go wrong with those A-Open 1997/99 off white cases. Heavy, great build quality, wonderfull PSU ratings. (Heavy on 5V rail).
