I have seen those Socket7 ATX boards before. I believe there is even 486 ATX boards out there.
Yeah, me too but those were usually MVP2 FIC boards and similar. Not HX motherboards.
Anyway, any recommendations for a good vintage Full ATX case? Preferably not a big tower and not server case...
I have the opinion, that when it comes to vintage ATX cases, then only two factors are to look for.
One being that the case need to be off white, like they used to be back in the days. The second factor is to look for a decent build quality. That would be a case that are extremely heavy and made from steel and not those flimsy ugly mid-00's aluminium cases. (Codegen Alien-eyes-drivedoor-flap being one bad example)
You can never go wrong with those A-Open 1997/99 off white cases. Heavy, great build quality, wonderfull PSU ratings. (Heavy on 5V rail).
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
