This computer is terrible but it's also interesting so I guess it's worth holding onto. I paid a fair bit more for it than I should have, though.

I hear the Media GX has sb16 that works and Is great for DOS gaming.

I don't know about that when I tried out Passport.mid and it sounded worse than what you get from a Packard Bell sound/modem card...

Bought a 3dfx Voodoo 3 locally, the seller had listed it as Voodoo 3 2000 for 50€. Knowing the current prices at eBay I didn't have to ponder long should I get it even though I already had a 2000 and have been on a look out for a 3000. Well guess what, the card IS actually 3000!

The card does have the silver 3000 heatsink on it, but I figured it's most likely just one of those that did have that or someone had just replaced the original. It's also possible someone has flashed the card with 3000 bios, need to take a look at the GPU at some point to see is it really a 3000.

I do feel a bit bad for the seller though, apparently he was sick or something which could explain his mistake. I'll stop feeling bad if I catch the plague from it.

nice small 486 board, supposedly nib, mainly got it for the cache ^^ I will double and triple check the cache orientation, because there seem to be different revisions of this baord around with different orientations and the sockets are printed different in the manual, I already got burnt once on the shuttle HOT-327 with wrongly installed cache sockets.
the plastic tabs on the heatsink broke off unfortunately.

couldn't pass this one up for €1 😁 I doubt it will be of any use in games it suppusedly doesn't support MIDI so probably no OPL to be found in there, but other than that I found little information on it apart from a few mentions that it exists here and there...

Sound card arrived for my late XP system, X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion. Once I get the custom 5.1 speaker system pieced together, that whole system will be ready to roll.

it's a bit taller than it would need to be so it can actually accomodate the 5.25" drive on top ^^

That floppy drive is at least as cool as the case! 😮

"640K ought to be enough for anybody." - And i intend to get every last bit out of it even after loading every damn driver!

I bought on EBay this motherboard:

eqs 222ta-a03

It is like new, with original box and bundle.
Point is, I have no idea what EQS is…
It is a rebranded model?
Any chance to find a bios/support for it?

Got this two puppyes today. After searching high and low all over the globe for somewhat cheap Voodoo2 past few months i got lucky and found one just "around the corner". It was in a bundle of old pc parts beeing sold in local clasifieds. I saw it on the add picture and negotiated to buy this only for 40€ (no need for bunch of P4 parts that were also in the bundle) and the seller put SB128PCI gratis.

The wayback machine has you covert: https://web.archive.org/web/20050107235337/ht … n=category&id=2
This seems the download link behind a missing picture: https://web.archive.org/web/20050107235519/ht … n=download&id=4
It points to this file, see attachment. Be careful with it.

Thanks,
I was hoping it could be a rebranded one for crossflashing another better bios.

I bought this RAM card for my IBM 5162, since this can actually fit in the case... Anyone know what board it is? Would be nice with jumper settings 😁

I have the mid-tower version of this case - it is indeed made by Chieftec and is of reasonably good quality
