Did they make this card in two different memory sizes? I see all the cards in ebay have only half of the mem spots populated on the right side of the 3dfx chips.

that socket 754 Sempron 2600+ will be the component of my future ASUS K8V-VM budget 2006-2007 build.
That M2N-E will be a historical 2006-2007 build on AM2 platform in future.
ECS K7VZA i bought it to temporary replace my dead GIGABYTE GA-7DXE until I recap it.

Nope, 100% beige and like new. Also works well on my setup as its comfy enough to shoot videos with.

I believe your ATI card is in fact "Graphics Ultra +" as there are FPM DRAM chips as opposed to dual-ported VRAM on the Pro model. I do have the Pro model somewhere with 16 x ZIP28 chips.

solid enough performers with the early mid 2000's stuff there, these single core sempron's are sometimes neglected for being out of step with the advent of the dual core era and all the exciting 775 stuff but i think they're still good 😀

I got an S3 Savage4 today. It was bundled together with some other stuff that I bought, which was a pleasant surprise.
One of my buddies had a Savage card back in the day, when I was using a TNT2. Of course, my card was better in most games, but not in Unreal Tournament '99. And that was by far the most popular game among my friends at the time. I vividly remember being blown away with how good S3 Metal rendering looked, and by the performance that the Savage card delivered while running UT in that mode. After all these years, I'm looking forward to trying this out for myself.

I built myself a S754-Sempron 2600+ system in early 2006 as my main system (Upgrade from an overclocked Tualatin-Celeron). At that time the S754 was already outdated but in comparison it was pretty inexpensive compared to every S939-system. And the Semprons were supposed to overclock quite good, so I took that route.
My Sempron ran stable at 2400 Mhz (which is 50% over the original clock) but then I had to underclock the RAM. The best overall performance was at 2160 Mhz with tight memory timings. Quake 3 ran 40% faster compared to original settings! 😁
That was the last time I did some serious overclocking.. And this was my first AMD-system since the 386/40 😀 I skipped the Socket-A era with the Tualatin.
