whilst i admire the various attempts to improve graphics in older game by various techniques, once you are playing the game it almost always feels about the same. Not a bad thing, but shows just how much gameplay matters and how relatively little the graphics do for most games
I don't know, I am not a fan of old games getting remastered or getting RT graphics. I tend to like what was original, and instead play the newer RT games.

I think this looks pretty good; better than Quake 2 (which wasn't terrible but didn't make me think anything more than "meh... looks plastic'y'.")
One of the lead AMD Devs for their GPU stuff is doing a DX12 back-end for ioRTCW (id Tech 3/ioQuake3 games) that looks promising and will bring ray-tracing to RTCW and other games.

Several days ago coreboot've added Doom as binary payload for their bootloader, would be nice if someone creates PCI OROM with this port for adding on PCI-expansion card or to main bios with cbrom\mmtool..

Basically that's fixing problem with duct tape.
It worked for Doom 3 😁
Some mods to original were more subtle with duct tape.
