Well, I had Tegel's Mercenaries running, and thinking that Strike Squad would use a similar DOS interface - I figured it would be easy to get working as well. Unfortunately that is not the case.
Again my system is a 2100+ Athlon XP, WinXP Pro w/ SP1, 1GB ram, using VDM Sound 2.0.4 w/ Update 1. I can attempt to play SS with, or without sound, through WinXP's emulation, or with VDMSound, or with DosBox, and with no luck. EVERY time I get the same error when launching it. This is:
Interrupt 0DH, GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT possible illegal segement error code = 8050
eax = 00F00177 esi = 000C0000 flags = 3206 ds = 01BF
ebx = 034ED90C edi= 000C000E eip = 00004229 es = 01BF
ecx = 034ED90C ebp =00C09FFF cs = 0197 fs = 0187
edx = 000C0E00 esp =000C0DF8 ss = 01AF gs = 017FSound Driver isn't in memory
Again, I've tried a lot to get past this, even no sound/music - and to no luck. Any help would be appreciated as usual 😀
