I have a baby AT SS7 build that is working great, but I would like to have a bit more era appropriate video card in the system.
I know the common recommendations for such a system like Voodoo 3 and MX440.
The thing is, I already have another system with a Voodoo 3 and i would like to do something a bit different with this one.
I have tried all the AGP cards currently in my modest collection.
All of the nVidia cards seem to work to one degree or another but ALL of the ATi cards have moderate to major issues.
I am currently using a FX5500 AGP card from BFG and it works flawlessly and is 100% stable even at 2x speeds, which is usually hit or miss on a MVP3 based board.
But performance isn't spectacular and the card is just too new, and too boring for my taste.
I would like to try maybe a TNT2 Pro card (the only ones I have are m64 based and as such crap)
Or maybe a Geforce 2 GTS, maybe a Geforce 2Ti, maybe a Geforce 3?
I have two or three MX440 cards but again they are all OEM 64bit cards. And they suck as well.
What are some other suggestions from you good people?
