My first PC was a 486DX2 66 and so i start this build to get some memories back.
It was in the same case i used here.
Back in the days i was wondering what Roland is on sound option. Today i really love Midi Sound in all the different ways.
So Dos and Midi is my target here.
I try to keep anything authentic as i can, beside from the PSU and the CF.
Still had some small stuff to change, the L2Cache upgrade to 1MB and with that also 64MB RAM.
The parts i used so far:
MB: ASUS VL/I-486SV2GX4 Rev 2.0 with latest bios and L2 WB Fix, 1MB L2 (L1+L2 WB)
PSU: be quiet! SYSTEM POWER 9 400W CM
CPU: AMD A5x86 X5 ADZ 133MHz @160MHz
RAM: FPM 4x 16MB 60ns running WS=0
SPU: Creative Soundblaster Pro 2.0 CT1600 REV 3 , Gravis Ultrasound ACE 1MB
Midi: Roland MPU-401AT + Yucatan FX Wavetable
Midi Canvas: Roland MT-32, CM-32L, SC-88 Pro
CHiLL V: E-Wave, Q-Wave, McFly, Yamaha DB-50XG
GPU: Tseng ET4000W32P 2MB FRAM VLB
I/O: Promise EIDE 2300 plus VLB 32gb msata-ide
HDD: Startec IDE-CF Adapter with 4GB Transend CF
CD-Rom: Mitsumi Quad Speed
Floppys: 3,5" 1,44MB Teac, 5,25" 1,2MB Teac

I recapped anything with nichicons. For the Audio i used the muse fine gold caps. Ordered also some sticker from Geekenspiel.
Plan do samples from FM and Midi to my eurorack. Also of corse gaming.
