Test build (untested):

SODA Offroad 320x240 fix (Alpha).

https://1drv.ms/u/s!As-dKk-N73dSlg0-CBcpTT9mikgM?e=TRQaxI
MD5: 3d98ce974b4db8190279273e29dd182f

- This should correct issues with SODA Offroad at 320x240. Most of my testing was done at remapped resolutions, so this never cropped up before.

This build will be pushed out to the store after extensive testing.

Whenever RReady creates a new configuration, theres is the line:
remap320x200=640x480x60

First of all, the definition says that there should be a refresh rate mentioned, i.e. should be 320x200xnN. But the above line violates it, and I never saw that one working (I think in vHexen 2 I had to add another 320x200x85 mode). So why does it come up and if its a buggy addition, you could remove it.

Test build September 17, 2023:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!As-dKk-N73dSlhKyfiTOCxj0gzC-?e=U9Ow5d

MD5: 6250bcf1f6117470db2aa14ed3d705cf

- Switches over to ANSI ChangeDisplaySettingsA instead of ChangeDisplaySettings. (Should help with DxWnd.)
- vHexen II verite.dll reports back all OS native resolutions.

- No longer reports OS native resolutions.

That should restore the missing resolutions.

320x200, 320x240 issues are being looked at.

- Disables crash dump logging (enabled in the previous build). This caused Interstate '76 to crash.

There's some unnecessary logging in there. That will be disabled once I fix SODA replays.

Once again the sourceforge spambot has struck.

I'll probably be out of commission there for a while.

The messages are there. Continue the work here...

Btw I discovered another unfixed bug. In general, DxWnd wouldn't touch OpenGL at all. Once you enable OpenGL/Hook OpenGL, it will handle OGL too. So Mech2 runs at a framerate lower than 60 (probably 45 or 50) in GUI as well as in mission for proper functionality. This requires it to be the set FPS. I set 30 for the test now.

For some reason, if I set any framerate through DxWnd, that FPS gets 1/3rd in RRedline mode. I set 30, I get 10.

vHexen II missing 640x400

To change resolution in vHexen, the game needs to be windowed or running at "default" resolution in Rlauncher/Rendition.cfg.

@Been_nath_58

Interstate '76 starts up without fuss on the first go for me.

There's a framerate limiter in RReady. Set MaxFPS=nn to cap the framerate.

I don't entirely know what hook OpenGL does, other than limiting the framerate.

Tell Goh, on sourceforce I have no idea how to play intro movies.

Also Team Apache has issues rendering menus on integrated graphics. Tell him the issues with the RReady splash screen appearing are probably because of that.

vHexen2 is fixed, but there's still the double 800x600 resolution in windowed mode

If you check the logs:
6:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 800x600x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 1
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 640x480x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 2
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 640x400x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 3
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 512x384x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 4
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 400x300x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 5
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 320x240x60
16:10:37.308 176 [0] Iteration 6
16:10:37.308 176 [0] VHexen2: reporting resolution 320x200x60

I'm not reporting the same resolution multiple times. There's a missing resolution at the bottom. It's not 1024x768. Quake 2 never went higher than 800x600 and I suspect vhexen II had the same limitation.

The question is what's missing?

[EDIT] Returning only 800x600 yields one fullscreen resolution and the windowed list is unchanged.

[EDIT2]
The extra 800x600 is the default resolution from data1\config.cfg:
vid_config_y "600"
vid_config_x "800"

Change that to :
vid_config_y "350"
vid_config_x "640"

and that'll appear after 800x600.

At what RReady resolution is that?

I need your zipped up logs from after running i76.

Check that you and Gho are fully patched.

Also are you absolutely certain you're using the latest DLLs.

Unzip the hexen II 640x400 release. Run rlauncher from that folder and with DxWnd running, run i76 from Rlauncher.

September 21, 2023 Alpha Release (Mostly tested).

https://1drv.ms/u/s!As-dKk-N73dSlhsBM2ZvCalX_91S?e=5sm71p

MD5: 034cdbb1c9659d1beac0bd67f409916d

- Switches full-screen mode switch over from ChangeDisplaySettings to the ANSI version (ChangeDisplaySettingsA). This should allow games running under DxWnd to remap to higher resolutions with DxWnd (2.05.99)

-If single threaded is forced for "Team Apache" with DxWnd or a shim, RReady no longer switches back to multi-threaded. NB For this app RReady does not force single threaded mode as it kills in-game performance.

- Fixes a SODA car select menu performance regression.

Work on Formula 1 is almost done just got a few bugs to sort out (HUD issues and crash during the credits).

It would be nice if anyone who has a V2200 board (or any Rendition board with RRedline 2.0 drivers) could check out this thread and see if the DLLs work:
Test: Running Formula 1 on a Rendition Verité V2200: Works (fully functional)

It should hopefully allow Formula 1 to run on a V1000.

Finally the sole RRedline V1.0 game is functional.

This will (after regression testing) be available on the store at:

https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/RReady%20Re … &hl=en-gb&gl=LK

This needed a bit of assembler to handle the _ suffixed versions of functions which weren't cdecl. Even the user supplied command buffer overflow function isn't cdecl.

The timestamps on the VOGONS thread appear to be stuck, so the thread probably won't update:

As a bonus here's a pair of Redline and Verite DLLs which *might* work on a V2200 board with stock drivers. I don't know if they will. But they implemented the _ versions of RRedline and passthrough to the driver's redlin and verite dlls in windows\system. These need to be chucked in the
Formula 1 folder:
