Which card to use with the Creative EasyCD External Drive?

Hi! I've bought what seems to be a Creative Labs' CT2755, "EasyCD External Drive." (looks like the one that appears in this thread: External Creative 2x CD-Rom drive?) It didn't come with a board, so I'm looking for a board to plug the cd-rom into. From the thread I linked, it looks like CT2750 is the one that goes with this drive, but people also mentions the CT1880.

So I'm wondering, which one is it? the ct1880 is easy to find in ebay, but not the ct2750. Do you think it can be possible to use the ct1880 along with a regular sbpro 2.0 or sb16? would the midi-in/out, game port work if so?

The CT1810 is for a different external drive (pictured), so you’ll need the CT2750. It’s rare but not impossible to find, a few popped up for sale on eBay during the past year.
