You need a browser that supports FTP or some other dedicated FTP client. New browsers had dropped support for it some time ago 🙁

I've attached the drivers here:

These files seems to be meant for the Orchid ProDesigner ET3000 card, but presumably will work on any ET3000.

Unfortunately it seems disk1 is missing from the ZIP file. Not sure either what it would have contained.
And these are not actual disk copies, but only the files with the original timestamps changed. But at least the original file metadata can still be partly seen in the included LABEL-* text files.

Disk2 contains Windows/386 2.11 drivers, and disk3 contains the DOS utilities to change video mode (VMODE.COM) and VGA font (FLOAD.COM/FEDIT.COM).

It does not include the VDIAG.COM, DMODE.COM, VANSI.SYS, HOTKEY.COM, HOTZOOM.COM or ROMDATE.COM utilities mentioned in the Puretek VGA Ultra ET3000 documentation.
https://archive.org/details/tseng-labs-et3000 … uretek-vgaultra

Are there any other ET3000 disk sets that have survived? Searching online, I only find Windows 3.0/3.1 driver disks.

Seems my issue is with the ftp server, downloading the attachment instead works.

Does anyone have dmode.exe for et3000 or know where to get it?

Hi, I'm not sure if you need an period-correct dmode from the 80s, but in case a recent dmode does suffice..
Re: Realtek realtalk, is it the best VGA for CGA? What is?

Edit: You can also try the attached zip file. It's from The GUI Gallery site. All credits goes there.
It has the driver/utility files of various old ISA VGAs, incl. ET-3000.

Fun fact, the ET3000 is old enough to have been known by East Germany's Robotron before fall of the Berlin wall. 😁

Thanks for the files.
This is kind of unknown world to me. I had 286 back in the day as I was kid, but it was ega machine.
I'm trying to get this card to work with 286 and philips 7bm743 monitor in hercules mode... I'm not sure if that's even possible.
I don't know if I have to do something in dos 5 to change it to monochrome mode maybe?
I've tried to change the graphics card to monochrome mode, via dip switches and by jumper, but if I try to start a game in hercules mode I always get garbled screen, game runs I can hear sound.

Hi, you're welcome!

I'm not sure if I can give a good advice here, but ATI Wonder series had monitor auto-detection, I think.

So depending on what you're trying to do this might be worth a look.

There's ATI VGA Wonder, ATI Small Wonder (CGA, Plantronics and Hercules on different screens), ATI VIP (almost VGA) etc.

Be careful with sub-models, though. An ATI EGA Wonder and an ATI EGA Wonder + are two separate shoes, so to say.
An ATI VGA Wonder and Wonder 16, too.

You can als try to ask at vcfed.org, if users here don't have an idea. We're all just human, after all. Well, almost, ha. 😅

Testing with my ET3000 card seems to be that the DB9 output is only capable of MDA and not Hercules, which is bizarre since it's capable of doing Hercules emulation through VGA.

Thanks for the info.
I also think that my philips monitor is limited to only MDA... At least I couldn't get it to sync to my Euro Pc monochrome signal... Of course the Euro Pc graphics chip could also be bad, since I don't own another 9pin monitor I can't test that theory.

I don't think so.
Hercules Graphics Card was designed to use the MDA monitor.
Both MDA and Hercules output is 18 kHz HSYNC and 50 Hz VSYNC.
Well, there may be some slight differences - some cards use 16.000 MHz crystal, some use 16.257 MHz.
But it should be well within the tolerance of the monitor.
