It is easy to test very old Directx9 card running faster those bench on old o.s. than more powerful gpu running the same app into a modern o.s.
Those 3D apps aren't suppose to run on such modern GPU, drivers, o.s. without I suppose compatibility fix or wrapper logics.I did run it on dgvoodoo wrapper simulating a 256MB card and I think it scored around 55000.
I suppose because adding a wrapper above what the o.s. already might use to run old API designed apps which in any o.s. after Win 7 (maybe even Vista) I suppose run in a not native way. Win 7 had an easier retrocompatibility in my Directx6/7 tests compared to a Win 8.x config while it can be similar I suppose using the official Compatibility app to run old applications but requires many tests to find why an old game has problems or run at low speed. Sometimes for the missing DirectDraw or the real fullscreen isolated rendering logics. It's not difficult to find games that ran perfectly on old hardware and run slower on more modern configs.
