Can somebody help me understand this.
Today I picked up a flex ATX PSU, it's a replacement for a dead one on an OEM P3 system. I made sure to choose one with stronger 5v and 3.3v rails than the old one.
So the rails are thus:
+5v = 12A (60W)
+3.3v = 9A (39.6W)
but the label on the PSU says "MAX OUTPUT POWER 220W. (+3.3V + 5V =60W)
Why would it be just 60w over two rails that go higher than that?

Em, 3.3 * 9 = 29.7
For some reason you multiplied 3.3 with 12. 😅

It's perfectly normal for PSU to have total wattage output lower than the sum of wattage outputs of each voltage.
Just got this in the mail, it looks like a matrix G200, but it has an addin card memory card and a DVI connection mini board??

Im guessing you receiving this wasnt as random as your post makes out.
I got a big lot of about 30cards in the mail from ebay 🤓, I didn't know what all was in it. Many surprises!

It is absolutely a G200 with a DVI daughter board. I have never seen such a board but it matches the G200 I just posted a few back in this very thread.

Maybe you will have better luck than me.
Has anyone managed to get the Matrox G200 flat panel add-on to work?

Yes we had this (DVI-) topic here shortly before:
Re: Bought these (retro) hardware today
and ongoing discussion.
The DVI daughter card was an official add-on by Matrox.

I don't have a DVI-D only cable but when I get one l'll try it and see what happens 👍.

Holy ... wow, just wow!
Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀
I've been slowly building up my sound card collection and grabbed an Audigy for $5 today.
I haven't done much research into Windows 98 sound, but I've seen the Audigys come up a lot, so I figured I'd grab it, especially for $5. I also picked up a Belkin OmniView Pro today. I wasn't looking for a KVM switch, but this one came up locally for $15, so I grabbed it.
I'm pretty sure this device allows you to convert a PS/2 mouse to serial, which should be convenient for me. I have a few laptops with a single PS/2 port and I'm not sure if they would support a splitter. Now I can just use the KVM switch and not worry about finding one.
Most importantly, this one is Y2K compliant, so I will be all set for the future!

Hiya, I have this KVM model and you are correct. I have 7 PCs connected through it, 2 of which have a serial mouse connection.
I am using a USB-PS/2 mouse and AT keyboard (with adapter) to control them all.
I am also working on a little project to make it switch automatically!
Enjoy... all the cable management 😀

That's the question for a retired me in ~20 years. I have tons of stuff and next to no time for testing right now.

Awesome photos. Can you describe your camera setup? In the past 5-6 years my collection has... erm... exploded... and I'd love to be able to take such clear and detailed pictures of the stuff I have.
Sorry I only shoot photos on the weekend. I made a light box out of 2x4's and wired it up as a lamp myself with an articulating spot light.
I take photos from the tripod with a Pentax X-5 that is almost retro in its own right.
The only thing I would do differently is to make sure the LED strips were cool white and not warm light.
