I thought those were video capture cards.

I thought so too but see here Re: Humour Thread: Outrageously priced retro gear for sale online

funny enough, that ebay link is the same one as in the old vogons thread. same price as well.

Interesting. I wonder why some else thought it was for CAD. Oh well, I’ll see if I can get it to do some capturing.

No idea why the user you qouted was banned. Maybe it was just a a humorous response.

also, looking at the chips on the card, there's no chip on there that indicates it can be used as a vga card.

So it's for sale for over six years. Wonder why and funny the ad doesn't show the VGA 'outputs'. 😉

Some pins on the Gigabyte B660m are bent as hell, but the other two boards look in good condition, the P55T2P4 too, and it has a PS/2 keyboard connector soldered in.

Also with this are an interesting ISA card, a Geforce 8600GT with a damaged fan, an Asus Sonar sound card, lots of ddr3 and two memory stick adapters for some special Nec laptops.

All untested so far.
The most unusual thing being the ISA card, I made a thread with better pictures here:

That's one way to advertise a VIA VPX chipset 🤣

(edited again because somehow TRW mis-identified the board as having an ALi Aladdin IV+, when actually the chip config and BIOS string point to VIA VPX.)

Got this Creative Labs Video Blaster (CT6040) for pretty cheap. Doesn't have the expansion ports but it's still pretty rare. Apparently one of the few graphic cards that supports 2 monitors in Windows 3.11.

Not sure why this guy is selling the same card for $950 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131472457139

I picked up a 486 last week that had one of these in it. Mine had the feature connector cable connected to the VGA card. There appears to be a breakout cable for the input connector that we're both missing. Doesn't look to hard to remake, just need to get the pinouts.

Archive link for the ct6000 disks and image of the breakout cable Not sure if the software will work with the ct6040 https://archive.org/details/creative-video-bl … 00-floppy-disks

Thanks for the links. Really interesting. If you ever get it working, please let me know. I’ll have a crack at getting it working too.

Not normally my thing, (wrong interface 😜) but I "upgraded?" my PCI only Dell Dimensions L1100R from a PCI Ati 9200 , to a PCI FX 5700LE. Mostly I was just looking for better cooling since the case doesn't have good airflow, but I found this cheap boxed 5700LE which seems kinda rare to me, so I couldn't pass it up. At a min, 3DMark99 says its an almost 10% upgrade, we will see if that shows in other tests as well 😁.

Random semi retro hardware ballpark thing.... Grabbed a "Mini Game PC Anniversary Edition" for pocket change, NES famiclone thing. Supposed to have a few hundred games, mix of bootleg and more recent. Not sure if it works yet, but was worth buying to maybe re-shell a Pi or something if I don't end up liking what's in it.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Some motherboards, 1100Mhz Tualeron and a Gorb.
Some bulging caps on the boards here and there but otherwise they're visually in excellent condition. That of course won't mean they work, but considering this cost 5 monetary units in total (1,25€ per thing) and recap will cost 15€ per board, economical damage will be limited in any possible scenario.

I've never used a Biostar board nor the PM133 chipset before.

Managed to get this ATI Radeon X850 XT PE for a Win98 crazy build. I don't think it's the Dell version?

That's a good deal considering what they go for on Ebay these days.

Looks to be in good condition as well.

Bought this P5 Hitman 2 Glove from local Tel Aviv retro games center, really love it. Founded some drivers to make it work.
