Rebel Moon at a rock solid 60 fps (playthrough of the entire first level and part of the second):
https://youtu.be/_2MIBSVaza8

Two things:

The controls seem a bit laggy and I had a lock up partway through.

Need to retest this quite a few times. Having software video capture running at the same time also seems to affect it.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Chroma keying problem. I should be able to tweak the parameters. RReady uses shader based filtering0 for Rm. Will fix it tomorrow.

The chroma keying is too aggressive. Also rready/dosbox-rendition has some sort of deadlock related to input now. Sdl_pushevent is supposed to be thread safe. It might be somewhere else. The new fast mode causes this.

Tomorrow, tomorrow.

Can't wait to get started on cgl! Its going to be a long 3 weeks.

But it does give me some time to sort out the new dosbox issues.

BTW, I've already started on cgl. The preliminary stuff.

In the cgl thread, the headers for cgl are available. It appears to pass a raw binary stream of vertex data, I think. I think each block is self contained, unlike speedy3d, where you can end up with incomplete blocks. Rredline prevents blocks from straddling command buffers, at least at a high level. Speedy is the internal implementation of rredline.

The split buffers is what causes dma issues and sometimes lockups, crashes.

What is that 3db pci or 3db vlb? Looks like pci, the description says came before 3db vlb, but I thought the 3db pci came after the vlb?

[edit]
Sorry, I should have read all the way down. Edge3d, nv1, Sega Saturn gpu. I think there's a Saturn emulator already, so I guess there's a wrapper as well?

Pricey.

there is no wrapper and tuxality who makes it, doesn't even have the card, and the guys he asked for help - one said his card got broken, the other didn't understood the instructions how to make all the tests he wanted 😉

I've signed up for cgl. There's a public win32 sdk for the edge 3d, available right here. So I guess for a basic windows wrapper the stuff's here. I guess for Saturn emulation, the low level stuff's needed. Disassembling the win32 drivers might help.

The edge 3d is ridiculous pricey. Was it really that rare? I didn't know anyone who had one. Sega Saturns, people had, edge 3ds not so much.

The Saturn emulator seems like a lot of fun., but I have my hands full at the moment.

Rariest cards
least rare <- nv1, 3db pci, 3db vlb, paradise tasmania 3d -> more rare.
somehow 3db pci cheaper than more often nv1 apperance cards.

That is weird.
