Any suggestions? And can a CPU be toasted like that - seemingly working but no OS boot?

I'd suspect the motherboard and what it's trying to do with the unlocked CPU. Maybe there is a way in BIOS to stop it from "optimizing" anything, just to see if that's the case?

So, I borrowed another 9th gen rig to test the cpu, same symptoms. Except, if I limit the number of cores from BIOS. 1-4 cores boots windows fine, more, and no luck. Seems like one core is somehow damaged. Hopefully seller will accept a return ..

If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

I think I'll pick up a phone charger with 2 or maybe 3 USB ports to free up some wall sockets. The manual claims it can pair with up to 8 devices.

Wow so modern CPUs can be partially cooked. Good to know and good job spotting it.

You might want to look up what has been happening with Intel 13th and 14th gen CPUs lately.

I wouldn't recommend getting one second hand.

Yes I am following that, but never thought that a bad CPU can load Windows when halved and the bad cores are left out. It makes sense though. A bad CPU used to be obvious, failing everywhere. Now it's more tricky to spot and the symptoms resemble those of memory problems

Well, I contacted the seller, who told me that he'd only tested it to BIOS (which I until a couple of days ago would've thought was fine) and agreed to look for a replacement, or he will refund me 😀

Ordered a strip of 4GB DDR3-1333 for my ThinkPad X200, as it rejects either 8GB DDR3-1333 or 4GB DDR3-1600. After searching the auction site Shopee I found a cheap 4GB-1333 strip with the same make and model of my existing strip, down to the same chips.

Then I received a 2GB strip. 😠 Fortunately I recorded the entire opening process in video.

I've contacted the seller and see if he can respond promptly; if not I'll report him and demand a return / refund.

UPDATE: Refund successful, but in credits instead of cash. 😅

Paid for this one, for the equivelant of 112 USD including shipping....
It is for my son. He grew tired of his Ps3, and sold it for the equivelant of 58 USD (including 2 controllers and 4 sports games)
He gave me the task of finding some Xbox One S in good cosmetic condition, and I promised to pay the difference for him.
I kind of think that I cracked that nut to an A++. Also.... I found an X and not S. So that is a bonus, he did not expect.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Well, I don't really think they actually care any more, but it's still just kind of hilarious that this sticker is on the bottom.

As far as I can tell, it's one of the 61 core P54C based models, complete with 16GB of ram built in. I don't picture myself using it, but it's nice to have. I can now display it alongside my i740 card. In my two part collection of "Intel made that?" products.

I got this motherboard, I was interested in it because of all the connections it has, Floppy, IDE, SATA2/3, USB2/3; what interests me is the floppy drive connection on a fairly modern motherboard, it comes with a FX 6300 which should be pretty good for Win7 32 and XP.
I plan to use an M2 SSD, modding the BIOS to make the M2 bootable, like I did on the Asrock 4core1600p35-wifi; but as you can see, it only has one PCIE X16 and three PCIE X1, they are 2.0, so the maximum speed of an M2 SSD on PCIE X1 2.0 I think is 800 MB, little faster than SATA 3 in theory.
I'm curious, is it possible to use the three PCIE lanes of the three X1 slots at the same time, or two lanes from the two slots that are closer, for example, modify a X4 riser cable and add two more connectors only with PCIE lanes to make something like a PCIE X3 connection, I know that there were M2 X2 SSDs.
All the lanes should go to chipset so; I wonder if something like that would work, isn't it especially difficult to do, but, can anyone give me an opinion if it would work?

Guys, this is the Best sounding Mini Bluetooth Speaker.
It has two speaker drivers inside and sound great.
I compared to other small bluetooth speakers of this size and this one sounded the best.
This speaker sounds better than other speakers this size selling for $100
It has a Nice Natural balanced sound with good base and treble.Easy on the ears for hours of listening enjoyment.
THX and Dolby Audio sounds really good on this speaker. Great for watching Movies or Music.
Clear audio with NO distortion. Movie theater sound from a tiny speaker.
It has good battery life up to 24-hours of continuous play
Hold a charge for many days.
Fast USB recharging
IPX-5 Watherproof
Small enough to fit in a small back pack or small purse or messenger bag or your pants front pocket or jacket pocket.

It’s perfect for mobile people on the move.its small and light but packs a punch.
Great to use with a phone or tablet or notebook.

It has a 3.5mm speaker wire port to so you can hook it up to a small TV or your Retro Computer.

Makes for a great gift or Stocking stuffer.

I buy these 5 at a time and give then out as gifts when ever I need one.
