I got this motherboard, I was interested in it because of all the connections it has, Floppy, IDE, SATA2/3, USB2/3; what interests me is the floppy drive connection on a fairly modern motherboard, it comes with a FX 6300 which should be pretty good for Win7 32 and XP.
I plan to use an M2 SSD, modding the BIOS to make the M2 bootable, like I did on the Asrock 4core1600p35-wifi; but as you can see, it only has one PCIE X16 and three PCIE X1, they are 2.0, so the maximum speed of an M2 SSD on PCIE X1 2.0 I think is 800 MB, little faster than SATA 3 in theory.
I'm curious, is it possible to use the three PCIE lanes of the three X1 slots at the same time, or two lanes from the two slots that are closer, for example, modify a X4 riser cable and add two more connectors only with PCIE lanes to make something like a PCIE X3 connection, I know that there were M2 X2 SSDs.
All the lanes should go to chipset so; I wonder if something like that would work, isn't it especially difficult to do, but, can anyone give me an opinion if it would work?
