So i decided to install reshade now to see how it is with the games
Both MercsD3D and MW2 3dfx works greatly, but Ghost Bear Legacy has a strange issue which is more related to dgvoodoo2 on which the screen flickers and loses color depth, and later works fine through some meshes becomes invisible, menu also has this strange scaling issue where it also flickers and the screen goes black and you see only minimized, i tested it later with cnc-ddraw and i found that the game works but the moment you quit a mission or completes it, the game crashes.it would be nice if dege could investigate this issue with ddraw.dll compatibility because its happening without reshade's own dxgi.dll.
Also on a note, i decided to test the battlepack edition of GBL and it didn't work accusing missing files, later i got a virtual machine and patched it to 1.05 and it didnt work either because even with the cd or image on the tray it claims that the cd isn't there.
I think the screen flickering isn't related to dgVoodoo2. Can you check this: play a mission, exit it and then reenter, and see if the flickering happens?
The flickering is now fixed, i'll post both conf files at the dgvoodoo thread, the issue now is just the meshes becoming invisible and 3d mercs audio and not recognizing the ripped audio even with the most up to date version of winmm ogg.
Fixed when entering the mission the second time? If that's the case, please let me know, because that's not related to dgVoodoo2 most probably and he'll get confused.
Do this: go to DxWnd configuration, DirectX tab and set DirectX version hooking to None. In that way, using dgVoodoo2 won't flicker. But probably this will remove the ability to run the game without dgVoodoo2 at all
Can you explain me what are your motives for Battlepack GBL? I am not clear on what you want to do and some things are "barred" from being done, for example, recognising the ripped audio on winmm ogg. Since DxWnd is the most up-to-date and variant winmm wrapper so it's set to use IOCTL right now
Also I am not sure what things you are reporting to Dege, he should be checking only the graphics part if dgVoodoo2 can make a difference.
