Wow! Finally it appears!
I would also like to have this device documented and replicated if possible. My card lacks one too. I have the line out exposed (thanks to a mod made by Keropi a decade ago) but would love to have MIDI ports and joystick port.
I trust Keropi to be able to handle this.

As an update on this, Canada Post being on strike for about a month now and alternative shipping options being costly (and overloaded due to the aforementioned strike), it is going to take a little while longer to get this to Keropi.

Is anyone living in the greater Montreal area planning a trip to Greece in the nearish future, incidentally ?

Ah blast the strikes! I have enough of them all year long in France.
Perhaps could you still take pictures of the inside or an X-ray of the whole device?

it's just some more waiting time , eventually the strike will end and it will get shipped 😀

Did it ever arrive? 😀
I just found an ATI VGA Stereo F/X in a pile of e-waste I bought. I just don't have any cable or box to test the thing. It would be awesome if we could recreate the PCB of the box.

Holy smokes, this is the first time I've seen this post! I can't believe one of these boxes actually turned up here after all these years. I could be mistaken, but these may be the only pictures that exist online of a VGA Stereo F/X breakout box other than the tiny picture in the ad from the 90s.

I really hope that keropi received it. It is probably very simple inside, so this would be an excellent opportunity to make replicas. With sufficiently high-res pictures someone with the proper skills might even be able to get the original markings and ATI logo to show up on a 3D printed model.

I have one of these cards myself so I would absolutely be interested in building one of these boxes eventually.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

Even if not, one could try to replicate the PCB from the two pictures. It's not very complicated in design and all parts are visible with their prints.
Apart from the passives there is only one diode, one optocoupler (6N139), one opamp (LF347M) and one TTL hex inverter buffer/driver (7409).
However, I have no experience in KiCAD at all and some smd parts don't have print.

I was the 2nd high bidder...congratulations and sorry for pushing the price 😉

Oh! I didn't even notice that darry had uploaded the PCB shots already. That is awesome.

I am not experienced with designing circuits at all, sadly. I wonder if the datasheets for those components can be used to figure out what the values of the other components are.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

No worries. There was a lot more in that pile ... Like the PAS, the AudioDrive, the DFI SuperS7 Mobo and the huge number of Siemens PCBs.
