Hi,

I tried installing Indiana Jones and his Desktop Adventures from an imaged floppy with 'imgmount a [theimage] -t floppy' and initially didn't get it to work. After running SETUP.EXE from Windows 3.11 I get a "Can not find LZEXPAND.DLL" error, followed by a bunch of prompts about other files, and the setup program exits. This is with DOSBox SVN r4484.

Doing exactly the same with DOSBox Staging 0.82.0 however 'Just Works'.

What ALSO works in BOTH versions of DOSBox is copying all files from the imgmounted floppy to a folder (from within DOSBox even), mounting that folder with 'mount a [thefolder] -t floppy', and then running setup.

Is there a known issue with imgmounting floppies in DOSBox SVN? Am I doing something wrong with the command, omitting some parameter?

It's a known issue that can occur in certain cases, but not directly related to floppy images. FWIW, the error message box that pops up appears to depend on the specific version of Win3.

Thanks for the info. So it's not related to floppy images (or IndyDesk?) specifically, but it is to the version of Win3, DOSBox or the combination of both? As I mentioned Staging did work, but a different version of Win3 might work with SVN as well?

Some versions of Win3 display a "This program requires Windows" (kind of weird considering it's being run from Windows) message rather than the one you mentioned regarding LZEXPAND.DLL, so the point I was making is that the error message can vary.

Again, the issue is known and will be addressed at some point.
