And I remember one day I found an utility disk for my S3 Trio32, played a bit with setting refresh rate while power transistor in vertical deflection circuit of my 14" analog monitor decided it didn'like it and commited suicide by releasing holy smoke 😀 It was pure analog monitor with pots buttons, without any OSD and protection circuits. Fortunately I was able to replace the transistor and used it for some years until I bought better 15" with OSD and protection...
BTW, I think I mentioned earlier, this STB video bios runs VESA graphics modes in 75Hz by default, not 60 as usual...
