Hello,
I tried to install MS-DOS 6.22 on a toshiba satellite pro 410cdt using a CF card but it didn’t work (constant blinking cursor at startup… with grub4dos it did the same) so I used my friend Freedos cloning an other card I have which is Grub4Dos + Freedos.
And it boot but when grub4dos screen is supposed to come, there is a black screen instead, and after a few second (probably the timeup for auto starting Freedos), there is vertical yellow lines with infinite symbol on it… it seems like it’s crashed, not only the screen because if I type shutdown it does nothing and in Freedos it is supposed to… shutdown.
Any ideas ? This computer doesn’t have cd rom drive or usb but there is a floppy drive. Do you think installing MS-DOS 6.22 with real floppies could resolve the problem ? I don’t have floppies so if it can help i would have to buy floppies and a floppy usb adaptor…
I also have a high pitched noise problem but I saw in a forum it was probably due to a capacitor in the screen. I don’t think it’s related to the graphic problem but who knows ? When in bios and before grub4dos, all text shows good and no graphic problems… they start with grub4dos
