I Love My IBM Thinkpads.

Guys.
These were the Best Business Laptops of the 1990’s and Maybe 2000’s too.

The IBM T43 was my First Thinkpad. I first used these at work and I was hooked.
Really good quality build with Easy Upgrade and Repair.

I liked Thinkpads so much that this was all I used for along time.

Specs:
IBM T43 ( 14-inch Thinkpad )
Intel Centrino CPU
2gb RAM
60gb hard drive

I have a T43 as well, which also used to be my work laptop. I think that was the one I had to "reflow" - and I put that it quotation marks as it wasn't really a controlled process, but tin foil and kitchen oven. It did however run well afterwards.
Wonder where I have that one now ...

If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

Agreed, I would take that Trackpoint / nub mouse over any modern touchpad.

T4x series are indeed the best for Win9x/XP. 56x and 36x are as good as you will find for DOS. The main issue with DOS gaming on laptops is the lack of good low->high resolution scaling, and once manufacturers solved that problem in a better way, they were almost exclusively using DOS-incompatible audio chips.

"Best laptop of 1990s"? T43 wasn't until 2005. I'm sure the late 90s Thinkpads were all cursed with NeoMagics... 1999 Presarios at least had Q3-playable Tridents in them.

Actually, My First laptop was a 14-inch Sony Vaio with Pentium-3 and Windows-98 back in 1990's
These were Very popular in California, USA computer stores because they had allot of features. software, and affordable.
Not many stores sold the IBM Thinkpad but the Sony Vaio was everywhere.

I used the Vaio until I got to use My First IBM Thinkpad theT42 with Windows-2000.
After that I sold my Vaio and used only Thinkpads which you could Now purchase online at affordable prices.

Terrible photos taken with my first digital camera's "HP C30" and "Kodak DC290". ( Both of which I still have working )
Photo's of my IBM A21p Thinkpad and Sony Vaio.
