I only have one McCake and I have both a 386SX-16MHz system as well as a486DX2-66MHz system. The 386 has a Yamaha 719 ISA card and the 486 an ESS 1869 card and a Dreamblaster X2GS. The way I am understanding it ( and I may be wrong) is that the majority of games that used the MT-32 should run fine on my 386 (able to slow down for 286 stuff and won't play much of anything before that) and that most MT-32 compatible games that would require the 486 will typically have general midi support anyway.
Is this correct? Should I just install in the 386 build? I guess the fact it is only a SX-16MHz might leave me running across games that support MT-32 and no GM that just won't be able to run at acceptable frame rates on the 386 build. I do have a 486DX4 - 100MHz build with the same GM hardware as well should I choose to use that as my GM machine.
