Hello all sound-savvy people!

Recently I was lucky enough to acquire two units of this (as I understand) rare ISA Sound Card, the Telecommander 3300 by Diamond. I believe rare because I haven't seen it before ever and cannot find anything online about it:

IMG-20250528-WA0010.jpeg?ex=68405ddb&is=683f0c5b&hm=23bf255a1ea84f289969f8b12ff12fe6f1f688151f7a28380fcb71500ba56009&=&format=webp&width=832&height=806

As I understand, this could be a Sound Blaster Pro competitor from Diamond, since the Yamaha YMF262-M is present
Does anyone here have seen it or is in possession of one of these cards? Most importantly... any drivers out there?

Would love to publish a review and compare it to other FM cards...

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Your pictures aren't working but I assume you bought these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/205195547052

They have an Opti 82C930 on them, so they should be Sound Blaster Pro compatible, I'd assume you can just use SB Pro drivers in windows. I think that Opti chip also has a WSS mode, so maybe if initialized properly in autoexec.bat you could also run it with WSS drivers in windows.

In DOS, most games should be fine if they support SB Pro. I don't think the original drivers will be necessary. And if you plan to use the modem (lol), i think anything that supports RCV288DPI (the conexant/rockwell chip) would probably work.

I have no documentation or anything else of the sort. Might be a nice card, but it's also true that rare doesn't equate to nice always. And I have no firsthand experience with Opti's chips, I just looked at some datasheets a moment ago.

IBM PC: AT&T 6300; Gateway E-3200 with Voodoo3 (AGP), ES1688 sound, and SB Live; Thinkpad 760EL.
PC-9801: NEC PC-9821 Ce2, Epson PC-486GR.
Macintosh: PowerBook G4, Macintosh Centris 650.
Commodore: A500 (NTSC, USA), A500 (PAL, Germany), VIC-20, C64.

Thanks! I just updated the photos.

Yes that is the one I bought, can´t find any info on it, not even Diamond Website using Wayback Machine!

I think the most redeeming quality is the real Yamaha YMF Chip under there.

Will try those drivers and Unisound... thanks!

Did some online digging previously regarding the Telecommander 2500XL, so these may apply to the 3300 as well...

Actually, the Telecommander 2500 does look very similar from a technical standpoint!
I find it weird no info online about my cards though, let this post here serve as something at least!

Thanks for all the attachments. Promise I will make a review when I have the time to check both cards.

A few such integrated soundcard/modems existed. OEM's liked to use them.

I suspect not much info is around as not many people care about the modem side of things and the soundcard will act just as it's non modem version does, in this case one of these.
OPTi 82C930 review

Still an interesting card and part of computing history all the same
