Hi! Interesting acoustic system in the photo, is it tqwp? Connected to PC? Sounds good?
Hello,
those are large range speakers made by artisan (Only ones I had available for this pc). Sound is good. I use preamp Atoll PR200 and Rotel RB-1070 amplifier.

Quality acoustics look great with a retro computer!
My PC build for retro PC gaming.
It was originally a pre-build that I've found on ebay due to being so clueless about where to go with building one. Ever since, I've replaced some of its components such as the case, memory, CPU, hard drive, and power supply.
And yeah, it has newer components. I thought of going for period accurate hardware but I didn't want to lose the ability to emulate sixth-gen game consoles.
Current specs are below.
Monitor: eMachines eView 15p 15" CRT Monitor*
Motherboard : ASRock Z77E-ITX Mini ITX
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz, LGA 1155
CPU Fan: Noctua NH-L9x65
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16 GB DDR3
HDD: Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
GPU: EVGA Superclocked GeForce GTX 950 2 GB Video Card
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600W ATX Power Supply
WIFI Card: 7260HMW Intel Wireless PCI-E Card (PD97260H)
Mouse: Microsoft Intellimouse Classic
Mousepad: Allsop
Keyboard: Microsoft Internet Keyboard
Case: Unbranded Beige ATX case I've stumbled upon on ebay**
Case Fan: Be Quiet! Pure Wings 92 mm Fan
Operating systems: Windows XP 32-bit, Linux (Debian Bookworm with Trinity Desktop)
* For some reason, it makes loud screeching sounds periodically under certain refresh rates.
** Please excuse the monstrosity that's covered behind the Domo sticker. When I first got that case, I was looking at temps out of curiosity and was freaking out over the temps gradually going up and didn't know what to do about it. My mom insisted on "drilling some holes" to the front of it using some hot needle tool of some sort in order to get some air intake and ended up making some hideous holes which resulted in damage to such a beautiful case as well as deep regret.
Fortunately, I was able to cover most of it with the sticker and also the temps hit up to a certain point then start going back down.
I had that exact mouspe pad like 20 years agao 😁

So did I!
Hey, I really love this setup its super nostalgic. I run a small clothing brand and was wondering if you'd be open to me using this image (or a version of it) as part of a shirt design? Let me know! 😀

You absolutely can. Would be great if you also posted pictures of the shirt design's end result.
Awesome setups! I especially enjoy this pristine white colour. I wonder how do you guys Redeemer and MrSegfault keep it that white. All the cases I stumble upon are nasty yellowish and therefore not attractive at all. I've seen some bleaching videos on the Youtube, but what they did was like the CD-ROM's front panel, never the full case to say nothing about the monitor.

I can't answer this question because I haven't owned that case for more than half a year.
It's really cool how white and pristine it still looks. It's like the case was part of someone's computer that was just left in the closet somewhere for several decades.

Yeah, sounds about accurate.
I'm trying so hard to find it though, in very good to excellent condition, online. I'd pay quite a bit for one. Sentimental value for that OEM case is why, and I want to rebuild my system (I still have all the original components).
I have this case, and probably wont need it soon. We cant buy/sell here, so feel free to contact me on Amibay under the same username.
Just saw this post.
Trying to DM you back, both here and on Amibay.

The 3 body problems cannot be solved, neither for future quantum computers, even for the remainder of the universe. The Proton 2D is circling a planet and stepping back to the quantum size in 11 dimensions.

Those look awesome! And I think the power cables are custom, too: I suspect you at least have the custom extension ATX 20-pin)
Edit: Awww, I see now that you mention the 24->20 PSU adapter)
If I had your skill level, I maybe would add a frontal temperature display (just because you obviously can). Not like the ASUS panel, just maybe something simple.
Anyways, the set looks very, very cool)
Not a rig yet, but something I'm working on. Had two nice cards with a common problem.
The TNT2 Pro came with a low profile I/O shield, but was compatible with the I/O shield from a Radeon 9200SE I had laying around with bulging caps. Problem was - the TNT2 only had a D-SUB, and there were two more holes on the shield for S-Video and DVI.
The Diamond Monster 3D Sound MX300 (Aureal Vortex2) card, when I bought it from Russia, came to me with mangled electrolytic capacitors and an IO shield from a different card that someone had used a drill on to fit the card's unique arrangement of outputs.
Now they are a tribute to Clint from LGR - the person who actually told me about Vogons and advised me to register on Vogons when I asked him which SB16 card was best to get. Ended up getting an ESS Audiodrive and haven't regretted it once.
Ready to go into a new Pentium 3/Windows 98 build to compete with my Pentium 3/Voodoo3 3000 build.
P2 300MHz/Matrox Mystique/Sound Blaster AWE 32 Value
Pentium 3 733MHz/3dfx Voodoo 3 3000/Aureal Vortex 2 (Diamond Monster Sound)
Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz/GeForce FX 5500/Creative Audigy 2
Core2 Quad Q9400/GeForce 8800GT/Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty
Got this beast today. It posts though the drives didn't recognize my boot disks. The case screws started stripping when I tried to loosen them to get the top off so I'll come back to it later.
I think the CD drive is an mke/Panasonic drive connected to some kind of creative sound blaster. I read these drives were sold in kits. I haven't located the software for one of these kits, if anyone has any experience with these and knows what driver I'll need to install, that'll be good to know for the future. The caddy came with it and contained a creative licensed version of Grolier encyclopedia circa 1995, which might have even come with such a multimedia kit.
