I love my Thinkpad T60 and is my goto work-related laptop but man, that CCFL TN 14" screen...

Tell me about it - here in front of me are two Acer "small laptops" (At least they didn't call them netbooks) with 15.5" screens!
(but they are reasonably thin - and in most other regards quite similar to the Acer netbooks)
