Hopefully you’ll get lucky. My £50 boxed “untested” 4CoreDual-SATA2 was fortunately a working board.

Nice. It is unusual to have both AGP and PCIe. Are you planning to use it for a test bench?
I got a ASUS P5VD1-X for test bench use. Though, not ideal as the PCIe slot is only 4x, and the AGP doesn't support 3.3v cards
Asrock 775dual-VSTA has pcie x4 only as well. Max memory capacity 2GB puts it into Windows XP territory.

The retro Web says it supports 4gb if you use DDR2? Unless I am reading it wrong. Mine supports 4Gb DDR1.
I think I read somewhere that this chipset doesn't like dual GPU cards. Like the GTX 295. But I don't have such a GPU to test
4GB with the beta BIOS, as well as 45nm support, need to clear a test bench spot, find a suitable test victim GPU - no onboard
Final target, XP AGP, with a HD3650 AGP, I'll go 2x 2GB 667 (correction, dual 533 to sync up to the 1066 FSB) if the beta BIOS does open >2GB, I did have another AGP platform, P4M800PRO-M, but it was limited to P4/Pentium D and only single channel 667, I just didn't like it for the 3650 - oh and it is apparently very fussy on PCIE, being 1.0a (which is SUPPOSED to be compatible with 2.0 card auto negotiation), and only x4.
This is not a platform you would choose for PCIE as there are far superior LGA775 PCIE platforms that are also way cheaper

That's true. I wouldn't want to build a PCIe system around it. But, for me, these AGP/PCIe boards seem a great idea for a test bench to quickly stick newly acquired GPUs in to check that they show a signal and have no memory artifacts when benchmarking. One its passed that test, you can either store away away the GPU or decide if you are going to build a system around it

I used to have one of these boards. It's on the "why did I ever get rid of that!?" list.
That's a steal honestly. Most are going for at least double that on ebay. Asrock made some interesting frankenstein boards at the beginning. They were meant to be cost effective alternatives to Asus boards but ended up having the positive side effect of bringing newer tech to Win9x.
