Has anyone run successfully ToCa 1 with Ati Rage II video mode selection?
I had run it on RAGE IIC PCI and RAGE PRO (PCI and AGP) using early 1998 drivers and 1999 drivers with ATI CIF-s Support, but always I've got rainbow pallet of colors.

Maybe ATI IIC and PRO is too late for this mode? Can someone try to run it on classic Rage II?

ATX 1998 build: Cyrix MII-333GP@263MHz on A-Trend Atc-5020+, 64MB SDRAM, Ati Rage Pro Turbo 4 MB PCI, Yamaha YMF719e , Windows 95b

It's Direct3D with tweaks for various chips. Use 16 bit on the desktop and test earlier drivers.

ATI Rage IIc earliest drivers are from fabruary 1998 and still color palete is inncorect. On ATI Rage pro i used 4.10.2227 form 1997 its probably first driver for this card, issue still exist. On desktop i try 16 bit and 256 colors.
So maybe this mode really only classic Rage II compatible.

Use older Rage II/+ drivers with a modified INF. If that can't be done then you can assume the IIc is different enough from the II. Probably all the game's Rage II mode does is apply workarounds for some rendering issues and maybe downgrade some visual elements for performance.

I will test this game with my drivers. Thank you!

I did run this game with Rage2+DVD 2MB PCI up to Rage XL 8MB AGP, all of them has the same issue.
If you choose Auto-Detect, S3 or Riva128, you can play it with Rage2 or Rage3 cards with no problem.

I will check this game more, but i think its Direct3D game.

Best ATi Rage3 drivers for 3DCIF / Direct3D / OpenGL / DVD : ATi RagePro drivers and software
30+MiniGL / OpenGL Win 9x dll files for all ATi Rage3 cards : Re: ATi RagePro OpenGL files
