If it looks like an EISA slot but there's only one on the board and it's not electrically compatible, it's probably an OPTi local bus slot. I.already had the BC3486 motherboard, a nice surprisingly small 386/486.combo affair with UMC 82C481/2 chipset. But as of half an hour ago (and thanks to Locutus 😀 ) I now have matching VGA card, an apparently anonymous Tseng ET4000AX based card, helpfully labeled 'LOCAL BUS', just to make it your own fault for not reading if you fry an EISA motherboard with it.

However in the correct board you get this (and no.smoke):

Apparently the card is called "214XA". Still no clue to the vendor unfortunately.

Nice set of items 😀 If you get more into SCSI stuff then those SCSI cables are quite valuable, buying those as single items really adds up fast. Since I've got way more into early CD-ROMs with caddies it's something I've been using more & more, the different connector types between SCSI versions meant I've needed a few variations of cables.

Yesterday I got a Toshiba Tecra 8200 - being sold for parts. It's a top-spec Pentium III 1GHz, which is 100MHz FSB, nothing special that I could see in the specs otherwise though.
Initially when I turned it on and saw the line down the right side of the screen, I thought "oh no, the screen is bad. Gonna have to replace that".
Then when I put in a good hard drive with an OS install I found that it's actually the high-res 1400x1050 panel. It's not really working right either because when running at 1400x1050 it'll lock up really easily. I'm not sure if it's because the OS install is from another machine, bad Trident VGA drivers or an actual fault with something like the video card.

But putting it down to 640x480 resolution stops it crashing and I noticed that it's scaling very nicely, sure there's a black border but 640x480 is being doubled vertically and horizontally to 1280x960 and that's giving perfect 1:1 scaling with no blur or uneven pixels - I need to load some games on this, looks like this damaged LCD is staying and I'm gonna put some tape over the bad line.

The pixel doubling makes this almost a 13" 640x480 VGA display!

The YMF754 DS-XG audio is behaving now after some careful IRQ / DMA management, it gave me some real hassle with the WDM drivers. Behaved better with the VXD driver but even then had resource conflicts with the IR device until that was disabled in Device Manager. But now games have FM, PCM and wavetable all available in Windows 98 dos box, perfect.

Luck. The cables are hard to make if you go that way; flats is easy but the others it is not.
I tried to find some guide but there's none or I couldn't find it. I'm happy as a kid with this stash.
DB25 to SCSI-2 adapters aren't easily available or they cost a lot.

P-iii is indeed 133MHz FSB, SL52R.

I had this issue with a 2 PCs, it was bad drivers. Hope it's just that.

Audio, I have to set IRQ/DMA manually on old socket 7 motherboards. Probably bad PnP implementation (my guess).

Got an Dell Dimension 8300. Wasn't on my bingo card, but the 9800 Pro and the 875P chipset did me in. Not to mention, another 3 GHz Northwood HT!

Beut, that's the combo I'm gonna try out when I get the internal monitor fixed. Yours looks much nicer than mine which had "been around a bit" before I got hold of it and ignored it most of the last decade.

Had Dimension 8300, great computer. Was a shell with bad caps for free, side covers was broken off, fixed it with screws. Then replaced caps, built up with Northwood 2.8C and G400 dual head video card then used it for years then another computer as I needed more newer at old work years ago, Around 2004 or so when got it.

Man, that is a tough one to track down. Must be a European exclusive?

Using a reverse image search I found a couple pages with pictures of it but no model listed. After much digging, these came up:

The specs on the second one don't match what you have, but the first may be a very similar model except with a P4 rather than a Celeron.

Problem is, the first link calls it a Presario EVO D310, which seems to be completely wrong since searching for that comes up with completely different computers which are all silver or black.

The second link calls theirs a Presario W0313 / CYMT-5FR103A-IT , but since it has a Duron and an AGP slot, the model number is probably very different from yours.

As for if you could do anything with it... it depends if the motherboard is in usable condition (bad caps, etc.), and if you have any use for a low end Intel box from that time period. I wouldn't expect to be able to play any 3D games made after 2000-2001 on it, even with a decent PCI video card. PCI bandwidth pretty much ensures that game performance will be bad no matter what GPU you put in it. It would probably be a solid system for 1997-2000 games though.

If the motherboard is no good, the caps could be replaced or the case could be used with a different motherboard.

Of course the PSU is probably not worth using either. If it is a standard size, it could be replaced. If it isn't, well.... yeah. It gets tougher. Judging from this page, it looks like it uses a standard sized ATX PSU... https://ogris.de/casehack/
