Hello is it worth to buy Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 SB0100 for GA-7ZX with VIA VT8363 and VT82C686A. I've read about many problems with Soundblasters and mobos with this VIA chipsests and Southbridges - is it even worth it to try to make it work, or just leave it?

The motherboard have a Creative CT5880 onboard sound chip, I doubt installing a different Sound Blaster card cause any problems. Just remember to disable the onboard chip.

The issue isn't with Soundblasters in general, but specifically between Sound Blaster Live! series (incl 5.1 and Audigy) and the Via 82C686B southbridge. You have the A southbridge so should be OK.

There's no need to disable the onboard chip, you can have multiple sound cards active side by side.
