So dimm 2 is B.
Dimms 0 and 1 are definitely both A?

Worth noting MAB12 is the 66/100 strap.

Here's the p2b net highlighted:
The zip might help too (kicad schematic WIP for p2b)

Hello community

I was thinking to swap a 440bx chipset on my board to 440gx to get a 2gb of ram support.

according to datasheet, 440gx has a new signals MAA14/MAB14 (AE22/AE23) which is n/c on 440bx.

the question is, where to this signals must be connected on SDRAM side? some ppl thinking they must go to A12 signal lines of SDRAM, but they're already connected to MAA12 signals.

is there any boardview for 440GX boards available on internet?

I'm following your attempt with great interest.
Two questions:
1. Why not see how the memory is routed on the same VIA 694?
Re: Asus TUV4X and Pentium iii SL6BY 1.4GHz

2. Are there diodes on these address lines in the BX, or is it the NC?
Perhaps the GX and BX have the same die.

Update
Found semi-compatible gx bios and yes, 1gb stick has been detected.

Cuz this bios from industrial board it has huge amount of limitations.
So, looks like for proper work a bios patch required. some GX registers must be set.

The attachment 20251024_125304.jpg is no longer available

upd2.

DRB[0:7]—DRAM Row Boundary Registers (Device 0)
Address Offset: 60h (DRB0) – 67h (DRB7)
Default Value: 01h
Access: Read/Write
Size: 8 bits/register

To specify a memory size of 2 GB, the DRB7 must be set to 00h. When this value is set, the
82443GX internally detects this value and sets the internal “2 GB system memory size” signal. It is
cleared otherwise.

Nice one!
Ask one of the bios mod guys if they can figure out what is different
