The laptop has a geforce2 go. P3-1000, 512mb, windows 98 SE
Tried with dell original driver and omega geforce 45,23 drvier. Same problem
All power settings at maximum performance.
Tried all low setting and high setting in nvdia parameter driver
I played a lot of NFS iii hot pursuit and porsche unleashed. Before it was 30fps are better in each games, now each games are 5 to 10 fps and 15 in nfs iii even at 800 x 600, same fps at 1024 768 or 1400 x 1050, very strange
The problem first happened after the computer shutdown and the ac adapter burnt and even the connector to the laptop burnt. i bought a 2nd one generic with adapter and it burns too, 19v 4,74a. after 30mins
Now i have 2 other ac adapter with connector adapter, one targus auto detect 15v to 24v 6a and 90w. the other a toshiba at 19v and 4,74a. Both works but randomly sometime. Sometime i connect the ac adpter and the laptop dont turn on. i have to let the laptop unplug for 15min. But when a ac adapter works, i can play 1-2hour without problem and no shutdown for now. But fps always between 5 to 15 in both games in any resolution.
I removed and reinstall both gpu drivers several times.
I dont know if its normal but the laptop fan always run very strong all time.
I tried several settings in windows and bios, no success. I even tried to change the core speed at 145 to 150mhz in omega driver, even with powerstrip, but in powerstrip, very often the core clock fell at 70mhz to 75mhz after tried 145 to 150mhz.
I dont know if its normal, but in everhome software, it show the gpu clock ALWAYS stay at 18mhz instead of 143mhz, all the time, even when performing
I dont know what trying next. My technician father will open it and check it, and check the power where i connect the ac adapter. I really dont know what's the problem. It happens 3 days ago. Before that, for one year no problem at all, fps always 30+ in games. And 5 days ago i bought a geforce4go gpu only to update the videocard, its should be compatible i read a lot about that, but i hope this new gf4go will resolve the problem, if by any chance only the gf2 gpu is defect.

check video and picture ( if i drive without cars and accident fps stays between 5 to 15 without drop or stuttering.. with cars 5 to 10 without drop or stuttering.
