Found a NewTech/SMT SMT486 Terminator with Ali M1487/1489 chipset. I think this one is strong with the force, giving far better results from UMC and SIS chipset. Tests done with 5x86 at 120Mhz, 40x3. Better memory results with better benchmark results. Better memory timings achieved with same viking FPM memory modules, rock stable. I have other tests in vogons with other chipsets, sorry couldnt find old photos for comparison. You can find here at my older posts.

Interesting.

Indeed, I have also found the FinALI chipset to be faster then SiS as well, however it always ended up being slower then any UMC based m919 boards I have. Usually what I run in to is that L2 is only marginally faster than main memory, especially with faster FSBs.

I'm guessing you have the cyrix enhancements enabled to get that CPU score.

Can you provide cachecheck results?

Have you tried running at 2x60 mhz instead? This can net you an extra 1-2 ish fps in quake along with obviously higher memory speeds though alchemy with the cache may be needed.
