I think Mypal 74 works well in many cases, now with 3D accel and for the rest Supermium 138...

Gigabyte GA-P67-DS3-B3, Core i7-2600K @4,5GHz, 8GB DDR3, 128GB SSD, GTX970(GF7900GT), SB Audigy + YMF724F + DreamBlaster combo + LPC2ISA

supermium v138 just not work here and I can't downgrade the profile back to v132 so I have to switch to https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Chromium-for-windows-7-REWORK

I have XP SP3 + all POS ready patches and it works fine, launched from SATA SSD within 1s.

author reached that issue and gave me a workaround switch so it is working again for now.

Remember long time ago i enabled GPU but find some glicthed, disabled and never try again. I think i dont need at alla, even youtube works fine at 1080p using only 25-30% of CPU

In win7 there is better options than supermium? i think some firefox builds work fine no?

Anyways personal opinion, i dont see much the point of using win7 over win10 or 11, look similar for me, only 10+ have some extra work to enable classic theme

using classic theme in win8/10/11 is fragile and it can break by many ways, or in multiuser environment.
and new apps no longer consider dwm is inactive in classic theme and you need an external way to correct them and this makes me tired.

I dont have much interest in any windows beyond XP, but other day i tested classic mode in win10 using windhawnk, and keep dwm active still while in classic mode

Firefox 115 esr, the last officially supported version for win7, still works fine, I use it daily and I have yet to find a website it can't load

win7 is for me the last good version of windows, I hate win 10 and 11... with some modding you can make them look the same I guess, but you certainly can't make them function the same. Win7 for now still works just fine and covers all my needs, if a day comes when it's no longer usable I'm switching to linux

So, there's a new Firefox-based browser for OSX 10.5 and 10.6. PowerPC as well. And it has nothing to do with TenFourFox, but it's based on Basilisk. Sites that rely heavily on Javascript, like Github, work properly now. Pictures till render blue here for some reason...

Pinned comment from JKTwice's post on r/VintageApple:

PowerFox is a new web browser for your PowerPC Macs running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8. There's also versions for Intel 10.5.8 and 10.6.8 if Early Intel Mac is more your cup of tea.

This is not a fork of TenFourFox. This is a completely new browser for Mac OS X based on Basilisk. You get a newer Firefox backend that supports more websites, TLS 1.3, security patches, more Firefox Classic and Basilisk extensions, GPU web rendering acceleration, and more.

It will even play YouTube videos on the native frontend depending on your hardware. The recommendation at the present moment for 1080p playback is a Dual Core 2.3GHz or faster G5 system with a GPU that supports Core Image. A GeForce 6600 will be sufficient for this task. For other webpage rendering, Core Image is still required for GPU acceleration at the moment but even a lowly FX 5200 Ultra or Radeon 9550 will improve your browsing experience.

Some of the webpages that work well are Wikipedia, Old Reddit, BBC News, Facebook, and countless forum boards like MacRumors, TinkerDifferent, and more.

The developer of the project is Jazzzny. You can check out the GitHub repo here https://github.com/Jazzzny/powerfox-browser/issues and report bugs/give feedback. This is a beta project and is not stable, so please keep your expectations in check.

Hopefully the year is even better for the PowerPC platform!
